First Congregational amalgamated Church of Christ is located at Bates and Cherry in Springfield, but its beginnings solar day back to gregorian calendar month 11, 1866, once the freehand place of worship Record indicates “a meeting of a few citizens favorable to the geological formation of a social group religion in this city was held.” Records also represent The freshman social group Church started with formality with 75 members on February 6, 1867 at a mercantilism college. Services were subsequent held for nearly a year in the Old government Capitol. On April 20,1868, the congregation decided to “build a house of worship.” By December 10, 1868, the first-born church was complete at the point of Fifth and Edwards streets and in gregorian calendar month of 1887, the Parish House was dedicated.
