It all started in the early 70's with the opening of "A Head Of Time" in North Miami Beach. Word spread quickly and the store was an instant success.
 
Within a few years the store more than quadrupled in size and was known as one of the best jean stores in the world.
 
Eighteen years after the opening, the store was relocated to the Aventura area of North Miami Beach where it is nestled in a small outdoor shopping center on the Intra Costal Waterway and now trades under the name "Tupelo Honey."
 
Recently Nylon Magazine listed Tupelo Honey as one of the 100 best jean stores in the world.
